Afternoon news On July 27th shortly after 2:00 pm Patrol Officers attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre at 800 Great Northern Rd for an assault complaint. Officers learned that Martin Vine, age 33 of 89 Hudson St.

On July 27th shortly after 2:00 pm Patrol Officers attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre at 800 Great Northern Rd for an assault complaint. Officers learned that Martin Vine, age 33 of 89 Hudson St. had thrown a cup of coffee on another person there. Vine was subsequently charged with Assault with a Weapon. He will appear in court on July 29th.

On July 27, 2013 the accused Luke Couturier, age 27 of 135 Grosvenor Avenue was at his residence having returned from his past employer’s place of business.  The accused was in an argument with his ex-employer.  Police attended the residence and in doing so received information that there were outstanding warrants for failing to attend court.  A bench warrant for the accused also existed stemming from charges in 2004.  The accused was arrest and will appear in court on August 26, 2013 at 9:00 am.

On July 27, 2013 at approximately 3:15 pm the accused Jason McKinnon, age 27 of 235 Brien Avenue, allegedly threatened to blow up the victims’ pickup truck. The threat was initiated after a misunderstanding earlier in the week.  Police located the accused and he was arrested for threatening to damage property.  The accused will appear in court on August 26, 2013 at 9:00am.

On July 27, 2013 the accused age 16 was observed walking on March Street.  A check of the accused was done and it was found that the accused is on court ordered conditions one being a curfew.  The accused was past the curfew time of 11:00pm to 07:00am.  The accused was arrested and will appear in WASH COURT (weekend and statutory holiday video court) on July 28, 2013.
