On June 21, 2015 at approximately 12:40 a.m. City police responeded to a police assistance call in the area of Southwood Drive.

On June 21, 2015 at approximately 12:40 a.m. City police responeded to a police assistance call in the area of Southwood Drive. It is alleged that a male subject was found to have been consuming alcohol and is on an Undertaking with a condition not to purchase, possess or consume alcohol. The accused Matthew Blair Leask, age 22 was arrested for breaching an Undertaking and did appeared in WASH court (weekend and statutory holiday court) on June 21, 2015. The accused was remanded to the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center and will appear in bail court on Monday June 22, 2015 at 10 a.m.

City Police were called to the Sault Area Hospital last night regarding a male causing a disturbance. It is alleged the accused became upset and confrontational with nursing staff who were trying to assist him. He then ripped out the IV line from his arm and threw it at one of the nurses. As a result, 42 year old Leslie Lampkin of James St. was charged with one count of assault with a weapon and will be appearing on Provincial Court on July 27th.

An attempt break and enter was reported by a resident in the 600 block of Wallace Terrace.
