On June 27, 2015 at 11:30 p.m., Janice Lee Myers, 48 years, of August Street was arrested by the OPP on a first-instance warrant held by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. Myers was wanted for failing to attend court in relation to an earlier shoplifting charge. She will be appearing in court on July 27, 2015.
On June 27, 2015 at 6:45 p.m., Richard Bell, 52 years, of James St. was arrested and charged with being unlawfully at large. Mr. Bell was required to attend at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre on Friday evening to serve an intermittent sentence from Friday evenings to Sunday mornings. It is alleged that he failed to attend at the ATRC on Friday, June 26, 2015. He will be appearing in WASH court on June 28, 2015.
On June 27, 2015 at 10:20 p.m., a 32-year-old male was arrested and charged with three counts of assault and break and enter in regard to a domestic incident in the downtown area. It is alleged that the accused broke into the apartment of the female victim and assaulted her and another male. As well, the investigation revealed that he had assaulted the female the previous day. He will be appearing in WASH court on June 28, 2015.
