On March 30, 2014 at approximately 8:39 a.m., city police while patrolling in the Gore Street area observed a male subject known to police. A check of the individual was done and it was found that the male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

On March 30, 2014 at approximately 8:39 a.m., city police while patrolling in the Gore Street area observed a male subject known to police.  A check of the individual was done and it was found that the male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  At that time the accused Michael Robert Gingras, age 23 of no fixed address, was arrested for breach of probation. The accused will appear in court on May 5, 2014 at 9 a.m.
 
On March 30, 2014 at approximately 1:55 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Romes Grocery store.  Two accused person’s left Romes without paying for several items.  After a short foot pursuit the two were apprehended by officers on McNabb Street. Both accused were arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.  The accused Candace Rose Desjardins, age 26, and Ralph James Carricato, age 43, will appear in court on May 5, 2014 at 9 a.m.

On Thursday March 22, a vehicle struck a pedestrian at Wallace Terrace and Goulais Avenue, however, this was not reported to the City Police until March 29. As a result, the City Police would like to speak to the driver of the vehicle involved. The driver or anyone with information regarding this incident can contact Cst. On March 29th, a male attended to a residence on Peoples Road. The male at the residence was known to the accused. Some drinking occurred and an argument between the two ensued which resulted in the accused [allegedly] knocking out some of the victims teeth and also pushing him down a flight of stairs. The victim was taken to the hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. 32-year-old Matti McClelland of Willow Ave. was arrested by City Police officers and charged with aggravated assault and breaching a condition of a release document which prohibited him from consuming alcohol. He will be appearing in WASH (Weekend and Statutory Holiday Court) later this morning.

A 20-year-old male was charged with domestic related mischief after he damaged a wall of a residence where his common law girlfriend was residing. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on May 7.

22-year-old Paul Quesnel of Wellington St. E. was arrested on March 29 for theft under $5,000. It is alleged he stole a cell phone from another male known to him on March 20. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on May 5.

On the 29 of March, 20-year-old Clinton Cadreau of Grace Street was arrested for assault. It is alleged he got into a fight with another male known to him at the accused’s residence. He struck the victim in the mouth and cheek area with his knee and pushed him down a few stairs. Mr. Cadreau will be appearing in Provincial Court on April 28.
