On May 31, 2015 at 3:06 a.m. Sault Ste. Marie Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision in front of 345 Great Northern Road. Investigation revealed that the single motor vehicle had collided with a utility pole.

On May 31, 2015 at 3:06 a.m. Sault Ste. Marie Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision in front of 345 Great Northern Road. Investigation revealed that the single motor vehicle had collided with a utility pole. Officers located the driver 18-year-old Nicholas Luck of Riverside Dr. and found that his ability to be in care and control of a motor vehicle was impaired. The accused was arrested and has been charged with one count of being in care and control of a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood. The accused will appear in court on July 6.  

On May 31, 2015 Sault Ste. Marie Police were contacted by a female victim with regards to a domestic incident. Investigation revealed that on several occasion between March 28 and May 31 2015 the victim’s 21-year-old common law confined the victim within their residence, pushing, grabbing and squeezing the victim in the process. Also during this time the accused followed the victim from place to place. The accused has been charged with forcible confinement, assault and criminal harassment. The accused will appear in bail court on June 1.

On May 30, 2015, City Police responded to a domestic related incident in the west end of the city.  Investigation revealed that after a verbal argument, a female accused age 38, allegedly threw a beer bottle through a porch window.  Police arrested the accused for mischief under $5,000. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on July 8, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.

On May 30, 2015 City Police conducted a RIDE program in the area of Carmen’s Way and Wellington Street West. It is alleged that a vehicle approached the area and then did a U-turn in attempt to avoid police.  The vehicle was pulled over on Hudson Street and the driver was given a road side test and allegedly failed. The accused, Terry Michael Chikoski age 37, was arrested for consuming over the legal limit.  Further tests were completed at the station.  The accused is scheduled to appear in court on July 6, 2015 at 9 a.m.
