On October 25, 2014 City Police attended the No Frills Grocery Store regarding theft of goods. The accused Morgan Ashley Periard, age 26, allegedly left the store with $4.99 worth of groceries and made no attempt to pay for the items. The accused was apprehended by the loss prevention officer. Police attended and continued the arrest. The accused stands charged with theft under $5,000 and will appear in court on December 1, 2014 at 9 a.m.
On October 25, 2014 City Police attended on East Belfour Avenue regarding an assault complaint. It is alleged that a female victim arrived at her apartment residence to find the door locked. When let in to the building she went upstairs and was assaulted by the accused Rachelle Morine, age 33. The victim received scratches to the face. Police arrested the accused for assault. The accused will appear in court on December 1, 2014 at 9 a.m.
On October 25, 2014 City Police were called to the Canadian Tire Store to assist security with a young person, age 17, that had allegedly stolen a knife from sporting goods and left the store. Security apprehended the accused outside the store. The accused resisted arrest and then assaulted the security officer by pushing and attempting to bite the officer. Police attended and arrested the accused for theft under $5,000, resist arrest and assault. A check of the accused was done and it was found the accused was on an undertaking with one of the conditions not to possess any weapons including a knife. A further charge of breach of undertaking was added. The accused will appear in court on December 2, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.
