On September 19, 2015 at approximately 9:28 p.m. city police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver in the area of Arden Street. On attending police found a vehicle in the ditch.

On September 19, 2015 at approximately 9:28 p.m. city police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver in the area of Arden Street. On attending police found a vehicle in the ditch. Police received information that the vehicle allegedly hit a structure and then backed into the ditch.  The alleged driver was pointed out to police. Police arrested the accused Brian Victor Newell, age 58, for having care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired. A request for a breath sample was given but after being brought to the police station the accused refused to provide a breath sample and was charged accordingly. The accused was also charged with failing to provide a breath sample. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on October 19, 2015 at 9 a.m.

On September 19, 2015 at approximately 11:40 p.m. city police Ride team stopped a vehicle on Bay Street. The accused Jeffery Neil McLeod, age 52 allegedly exhibited signs of impairment. The accused was given a demand to provide a breath sample into a road side screening device. The accused was arrested for having care and control of a motor vehicle after consuming more than the legal limit of alcohol. The accused was taken to the city police station for a breath test. It is alleged that the accused was over the legal limit and at that time was given a court date. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on October 19, 2015 at 9:00 am.

On September 20, 2015 at 12:45 p.m. police arrested 20-year-old Gavin Winnington-Ingram of Panoramic Drive. It is alleged that the accused attended a local hilltop store and selected $66 in merchandise. The accused [is alleged to have] left the store without paying for the items. The accused has been charged with theft under $5000 and will attend court on October 19.
