Police have arrested Myles Zacharie in relation to a break-in that occurred at a Gore Street business on Jan. 19, states a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

The 40-year-old accused was apprehended this morning on Queen Street East after officers responded to an unwanted person call.

Full text of the release follows:

On Feb. 11, 2022, officers with Patrol Services charged 40-year-old Myles Zacharie with break and enter.

On Jan. 19, 2022, officers responded to a break and enter at a business in the 100 block of Gore Street. Approximately $800 in damage was caused to the business, and a small quantity of food was taken. The subsequent investigation identified the accused as the person involved in the break and enter.

Around 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 11, 2022, officers responded to a call regarding an unwanted person in the 600 block of Bay Street. Officers located the person in the 600 block of Queen Street East and identified him as the accused and he was arrested.

He is charged with break and enter and breach of probation – failing to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 25, 2022.
