A 17-year-old faces robbery charges after an incident that took place earlier this week, Sault Ste. Marie police said in a news release today.

Police say they responded to a call around 9:20 p.m. on March 18 after the accused went into a business in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road, allegedly approached two other teens and threatened to shoot them if they didn’t give him their phones.

Police located the accused in front of the business and he was arrested.

Upon search, police say they found the accused to be in possession of a pellet gun.

As a result, he was arrested and charged with:

He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on May 17, 2022.
