Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service have seen an increase in calls for service relating to thefts from unlocked vehicles in the past few weeks.  Officers have responded to calls in the West End of the city between People’s Road to Goulais Avenue.

Various items have been reported stolen including;

  • Wallets
  • Cell phones
  • Forms of I.D.
  • Cheques
  • Credit Cards
  • Passports

The Sault Ste Marie Police service would like to remind the public not to leave valuable items inside unattended vehicles and to lock your vehicles while you are away.

We encourage any member of the public that has information regarding these or any other criminal activity to contact the Sault Ste Marie Police Service.
