A 43-year-old driver from Thessalon is facing an impaired charge after police received a report from a citizen on Tuesday evening.
In a release, police say they received a report around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday of a possible impaired driver in the 400 block of Great Northern Road.
When officers responded, they say they found a woman standing next to the vehicle described to them.
"Upon speaking with the woman officers were able to identify her as the accused, developed grounds to believe she was driving the vehicle and developed grounds to believe her ability to operate the vehicle was impaired by drug," the release said.
Amy Cosgrove of Thessalon is now facing a charge of impaired driving – alcohol and drugs and was released on an undertaking.
