Threats made in Sunday morning break-in on Blutcher: Police

An early-morning 911 call has led to numerous charges for a 22-year-old.

On Sunday morning, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a report of a break and enter in the 0-100 block of Blutcher Street.

When officers arrived, they found the victim waiting for police with the accused.

Police say the victim told them that the accused had broken into their home, stole some items and threatened them both verbally and with a knife when they attempted to stop the accused.

Police seized the knife and arrested the accused.

Stecia Nootchtai faces multiple charges, including:

  • assault with a weapon
  • possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • carrying concealed weapon
  • uttering threats
  • breaking and entering – committing offence
  • theft under $5,000
