Three youths face numerous weapons charges

Three youths face weapons charges following an incident that took place in the area of Douglas Street and Turner Avenue on Monday.

A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service alleges that the three accused threatened another youth with a bat, pointed an imitation firearm, and took property belonging to the victim.

The three boys – aged 12, 13, and 14 – were arrested yesterday and stand charged with pointing a firearm, using an imitation firearm while committing an offence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, armed robbery, and uttering threats.

All three are scheduled to appear in court on March 23.
