Early Morning Break & Enter
Yesterday morning, at around 6:45 am, the Sault Ste Marie Police Service responded to a break and enter in progress in the100 block of St. Andrews Terr. Arriving officers located and arrested one male a short distance from the address. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of two other males. It is alleged that the three accused persons attended at the St. Andrews Terr address and stole a quantity of electronic games and DVDs. While committing the break in the accused were wearing disguises over their faces. All three accused will be appearing in bail court this morning. Raymond Gregoire, age 23, of 217 Beverly St. and Dylan Jocko, age 22, of 26 ½ Old Wallace Terr are charged with one count of break and enter, one count of wearing a disguise while committing an offence and one count of break of probation. The third accused, a 16-year-old male is charged with one count of break and enter, one count of wearing a disguise while committing an offence and one count of failure to comply with disposition under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. All three accused will be appearing in bail court today.
Assault, Theft Under $5,000 & Breach
Yesterday morning at approx. 11:30 am city police arrested a 16-year-old male and charged him with one count of assault, one count of theft under $ 5,000. and one count of a breach of an undertaking. It is alleged that on April 3rd the accused attended a centrally located address and while there assaulted the male tenant and stole a quantity of beer. By committing these offences the accused breached the conditions of his previous release document. The assault consisted of the accused pushing the victim several times. The victim was not injured and did not require medical attention. The accused will be appearing inn bail court today.
Break & Enters
The Sault Ste Marie Police Service investigated two other break and enters yesterday. A quantity of jewellery was taken from a break in to a residence in the 100 block of Williams St. It is not known what was stolen from a break in to a residence in the 100 block of Chambers Ave.
Theft of a Car
A 1994 Plymouth Acclaim was stolen yesterday afternoon from the parking lot of the Market Mall.
Car Accidents
The Sault Ste Marie Police Service investigated 49 motor vehicle collisions yesterday. The majority were minor in nature and mostly weather related.
