While on routine patrol early this morning, a city police officer observed a vehicle proceeding northbound on Peoples Road in the area of Hillside Drive driving in an erratic manner, allegedly swaying from the centre line to the curb several times.

While on routine patrol early this morning, a city police officer observed a vehicle proceeding northbound on Peoples Road in the area of Hillside Drive driving in an erratic manner, allegedly swaying from the centre line to the curb several times. A vehicle stop was conducted and further observations led the officer to believe the female driver was impaired and she was arrested accordingly. The accused then later provided breath samples at the City Police Station where readings were obtained at more than three times the legal limit. 41-year-old Shauna Lyons of Greenfield Drive was charged with impaired driving and consume over the legal limit. She will be appearing in Provincial Court on September 12.
