On the 13 August 2015 at 7:40 a.m., City Police were called to the Sault Ste. Marie Airport regarding an inebriated male attempting to board a flight.

On the 13 August 2015 at 7:40 a.m., City Police were called to the Sault Ste. Marie Airport regarding an inebriated male attempting to board a flight. On arrival, it was discovered the man was [allegedly] intoxicated and had been informed by staff he would not be allowed on the plane. Although airport staff were more than cordial by inviting the man back for the 3 p.m. flight, a police record check showed he was on conditions not to consume alcohol and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. A search of the man’s bag also revealed he was stowing away a six pack of beer. His release conditions indicated he was not to possess alcohol. City police were less forgiving and the man will be appearing in bail court on the 13 August 2015 to answer to the three charges.

At 8:30 p.m. on August 12, 2015 a 40-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding warrant. It’s alleged that on December 2, 2014 the accused held a knife up to the throat of his girlfriend. He faces charges of assault with a weapon and will be appearing in Bail Court on August 13, 2015 at 10 a.m.

At 10:30 p.m. on August 12, 2015 a 25-year-old female turned herself in to city police. The accused was wanted on an outstanding domestic warrant charging her with one count of breach of recognizance and one count of breach of probation. She was detained and will be appearing in Bail Court on August 13, 2015.

At 11:15 p.m. on August 12, 2015 city police attended a residence on Goulais Avenue in regards to a domestic related assault. The investigation revealed that a female assaulted her boyfriend. The accused was arrested and charged with assault. She will be appearing in bail court on August 13, 2015 at 10 a.m. The victim’s injuries were minor in nature.
