On August 20, 2015 32 year old Luc Dale of no fixed address attended at the Police Station and was arrested on outstanding warrants. The accused was arrested for breach of probation, transportation fraud, breach of undertaking, assault, assault with a weapon and failing to attend court. The accused was sent to bail court this morning.  

On August 20, 2015 Sault Ste Marie Police officers arrested a 22 year old male and charged him with theft under. It is alleged that in the early morning hours this male stole 2 televisions values at $2,500 from his parents’ home. The accused will appear in court on September 21st.

On August 20, 2015 25 year old Lucien Charrette of Poplar Av turned himself into police after learning he missed his court date. The accused was arrested for failing to attend court, mischief and threatening. The accused will appear in court on September 21st.

Mischief

A home and vehicles were egged on White Oak Dr and Welcome Av overnight.

A vehicles front and back windows were smashed out on Albert St W overnight. 

Thefts

Overnight culprits entered unlocked vehicles on Churchill Ave, McAllen St and Third Line East. Items stolen include a Garmin GPS, CDs, a digital camera, wallet and change.On August 19, 2015 at 5 p.m., a young offender along with two adult males turned themselves in to police regarding an assault investigation conducted by detectives. It’s alleged that the males assaulted the victim on August 16 and 17, 2015. The two adult males were charged with assault causing bodily harm and common assault. They will be appearing in court on September 21, 2015. The young offender was charged with assault causing bodily harm and will be appearing in court on September 22, 2015.

At 10 p.m. on August 19, 2015, city police arrested an intoxicated female on Elgin Street. A short time later it was learned that the female had attended a local restaurant and left without paying for the bill. As a result of the investigation, 28-year-old Amanda Currie was charged with fraudulently obtaining food. She will be appearing in Court on September 21, 2015.
