Empty Envelope Fraud
On August 22, 2013 at 11:42 am Police Officers arrested and charged Peter Tarbox, age 34 of 34 Wellington St. West with Empty Envelope Fraud. Officers learned that Tarbox on July 13th deposited an empty envelope to an account at local bank. He then allegedly withdrew money from the account. Tarbox will appear in court on September 16th.
Break and enter
In the early afternoon of August 22, 2013 Police Officers were called to a break and enter complaint on Plaintree Dr. Officers learned that thieves had entered the residence and removed some jewellery.
Break & Enter and Theft from Vehicle
Yesterday afternoon just before 2 pm City Police received a report of a break and enter to a residence on London Street. A quantity of American change was taken.
A vehicle in the 200 block of Wallace Terrace was entered. Keys and the steering wheel cover were taken.
August 22nd morning news
A 25 year old female was arrested as a result of a domestic disturbance. It is alleged that on the 21st of August the accused assaulted her boyfriend by repeatedly punching, biting and scratching him. It is further alleged that she forcibly confined him by barricading the apartment door with a couch and further attacking him whenever he approached the door. She has been charged with one count of assault and one count of forcible confinement and will be appearing in bail court this morning.
47 year old Kenneth Strain of 470 John St apartment #1 will be appearing in bail court this morning. It is alleged that Mr. Strain was found to be in a vehicle at approximately 11:40 p.m. while he was bound by a condition of a bail release document to be in his residence daily between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. except for medical emergencies. It was determined there was no medical emergency and Mr. Strain was charged with one count of breaching a release order.
21 year old Alexis Lewis of 130 Homestead Rd in Goulais River was arrested on a warrant for assault. It is alleged that in 2011 the accused assaulted a female known to her by punching her in the face. She will be appearing in court on September 30th.
