On December 10, 2015 at 2:20 a.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Landslide Road near Hiawatha.
Initial information indicated that a vehicle had struck a utility pole and wires were down.
When officers arrived at the scene the vehicle had left.
Investigation determined that the registered owner of the vehicle, 22-year-old Chelsey Waddell of Allard Street, was operating the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Investigation further indicated that at the time of the accident the accused was impaired by alcohol and she was arrested.
The accused was transported to hospital for non-life threatening injuries where she was treated and released.
Officer made a breath sample demand from the accused and she refused.
The accused has been charged with failing to provide breath sample upon demand and will appear in court on January 18.
Investigation is continuing in this matter.
