Male Wanted for Assault Picked Up
At approx. 5:35 Pm yesterday afternoon City Police locate a male, on Albert St. W., that was wanted for assault. It is alleged that the accused, Larry Scott, committed an assault against a female known to him on Dec. 13th. The assault consisted of the accused punching the victim on the shoulder and then pulling her hair. The victim did not require medical attention. The accused Larry Scott, age 43, of 414 Queen St. W. will appear in court on Monday Jan 22 at 9:00 Am on a charge of Assault.
Male Arrested on Multiple Charges
Yesterday afternoon at approx. 2:00 Pm City Police arrested a 20 year old male and charged him with:
1. Assault – two counts
2. Assault with a Weapon
3. Assault Causing Bodily Harm
4. Break and Enter
5. Forcible Entry – two counts.
It is alleged that on Dec. 14th at approx. 12:30 Am the accused attended an address on Korah Rd. and entered the premises without permission. While inside the premises the accused assaulted the tenant by punching and kneeing him in the face. The accused then left. At approx. 12:50 Am the accused and four other people returned to the address and forced their way into the premises. Once inside the accused and another male used a piece of wood and a broomstick to assault the victim and a friend. The victim suffered injuries to his hand and did require medical attention at the hospital. The accused Brandon Horner, age 20, of 123 Chicora Cres. will be appearing in court on Jan 29th at 9:00 Am.
Breach of a Recognizance
At approx. 1:05 AM this morning City Police arrested Paul Archambeault, age 44, of 196 James St. Apt. # 10 and charged him with Breach of a Recognizance. Mr. Archambeault was on a release that prohibited him from consuming alcohol. At the time of his arrest Mr. Archambeault was intoxicated. He will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 Am.
Multiple Car Accident
Yesterday evening at approx. 7: 50 Pm City Police attended at the intersection of Great Northern Rd. and Second Line in regards to a multi- vehicle collision. The collision, which is still under investigation, involved four vehicles, one being an O.P.P. police cruiser. Three persons were transported to the hospital and treated. One person is still at the hospital. City Police will be conducting further interviews with witness today. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
Fire at Harvey's on Trunk Road
At approx. 5:30 Pm yesterday afternoon City Police and the Fire Department attended at 21 Trunk Rd., Harvey’s Restaurant, in regards to a fire. No one was injured as a result of this fire but the premises suffered extensive damage. The Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the fire. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
Break and Enters Yesterday
1) A residence in the 300 block of Patrick St. had a rear shed entered. It is not known if anything was taken at this time.
2)A residence in the 400 block of Rowell Ave was entered. A digital camera and electronic equipment were stolen.
At approx. 7:30 Am, yesterday morning a male attended at an address in the 100 block of Superior Dr. and attempted to enter the premises. It is believed that the tenant scared him off. The suspect is described as: Male, 6’ tall skinny build, wearing a black leather jacket and a dark ski mask.
