IMPAIRED DRIVER GOES ON BACKYARD DRIVE
City police officers were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Goulais Avenue yesterday. At 1:47pm, a 1992 red Chevrolet operated by 74-year-old Vinko Krompotich of Rushmere Drive left the road on Goulais Avenue.
The car crashed through a fence and into the backyard of 24 Pretoria Hill then continued south through several backyards and fences including #22, #20, and #18 Pretoria Hill. The vehicle exited through another fence and proceeded east across Goulais Avenue and went off the road into a bushy area.
The vehicle was demolished. There were no injuries reported. Mr. Krompotich has been charged with impaired driving. He will appear in court on Jan 14.
