House Fire
Just after 4:20 this morning City Police Services and Fire Services attended in the 100 block of London Street regarding a house fire. Few details are available at this time, but it does not appear that anyone was injured in the fire. At this time both Services are still at the scene. Shortly after 6 am an Inspector from Fire Services arrived at the location. There are no other details available at this time.
Male Charged with Assault
18-year old Daniel Bolduc of 446 Northern Avenue East will appear in bail court this morning. It is alleged that on the 6th of December the accused go into an argument with a male known to the accused. It is alleged that the accused assaulted the victim by punching him in the face. The victim required medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries. The accused attended at the station yesterday morning and turned himself into City Police. At that time officers learned that the accused was on a release order with conditions to be residing at a different address then where the accused has been living. The accused has been charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm and two counts of breach of a release order.
Breach of Probation
A 16-year old youth was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with 3 counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused failed to be in the family home on the 3rd, 5th and 6th of December. As a result of the youth failing to abide by the conditions, City Police were contacted by the father of the youth. The youth will appear in court on January 10th, 2006.
Theft Charges Laid
Yesterday afternoon 35-year old Terri-Lynn Syrette of 2-266 John Street was arrested and charged with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 6th of December the accused stole a collection container from the Cancer Society, which was placed at Wardlaw Fuels for donations. The accused will appear in court on January 9th.
61-year old Grace D’Angelo of 14 Palace Drive was arrested yesterday afternoon at the Wal-Mart Store. It is alleged that the accused stole chocolate and glitter paint from the store, but was apprehended by store security. The accused has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and will appear in court on January 9th.
