Yesterday morning officers from Patrol Services arrested and charged a 36-year-old male with one counts of breach of release documents in relation to a prior domestic.

Yesterday morning officers from Patrol Services arrested and charged a 36-year-old male with one counts of breach of release documents in relation to a prior domestic. It is alleged that the accused breached his conditions by communicating with the victim. He was remanded into custody for bail court.

Early this morning officers from Patrol Services arrested and charged a 28-year-old male with four counts of assault, one count of assault causing bodily harm, one count of forcible confinement and three counts of mischief under $5,000.

The incidents occurred between October of 2014 and January of 2015. The victim and accused were common law at the time. Over the course of that time frame the victim was punched, had her hair pulled, her clothing ripped and her cell phone damaged. The victim required medical treatment for one of the incidents. On one occasion the accused refused to allow the victim to leave the residence. The accused will appear in bail court today.

Members of the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit, the Emergency Services Unit and Patrol officers attended to a downtown apartment unit and executed a warrant on February 4. The search resulted in the seizure of Marijuana, Cocaine, Oxycodone, Methylphenidate and brass knuckles. 43-year-old Brent Simpson of Adrian Drive was charged with Possession of a Narcotic, 25-year-old Natasha Baxter of Fauquier Street was charged with Possession of a Narcotic, 20-year-old Mikayla Vincent of Hughes Street was charged with Possession of a Narcotic, and 45-year-old Michael Folgora of Queen Street West was charged with three counts of Possession of a Narcotic, one count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Narcotic and one count of Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public. All four will be appearing in Provincial Court on March 9.
