Arrests/Charged Persons:
On February 7, 2013 an accused male age 31, was arrest for three counts of assault. It is alleged that in August of 2012 the accused did punch the victim in the face while travelling in a vehicle. Further it is alleged that in October of 2012 the accused attempted to choke the victim at her residence. The victim was able to fight the assailant off. Further it is alleged that on February 6, 2013 the accused again attempted to choke the victim and pushed her to the floor. The accused turned himself in at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services building and will appear in bail court on February 8, 2013 at 10:00am.

On February 7, 2013 officers from Investigation Services attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center and arrested a male for breaching a court order and breach of probation. The court order had a condition restricting the accused from contacting and communicating with the victim. The accused was also on probation with a condition not to communicate directly or indirectly with the victim. The accused will appear in bail court February 8, 2013 at 10:00am.

On February 7, 2013 officers attended at the Food Basics Store at 701 Pine Street, regarding a female shop lifter. Loss Prevention Officer had a female in custody for theft under $5000. The accused attempted to leave the store without paying for $14.02 worth of groceries. The accused will appear in court on March 11, 2013 at 9:00am.

A 34 year old male was arrested on February 6th for breaching a Peace Bond. It is alleged the male breached his conditions that he not communicate with the female complainant.

22 year old Michael Gingras of Goulais River was arrested by City Police on an outstanding Probation and Parole warrant. Mr.Gingras failed to report to his probation officer between August 27th 2012 and November 29th 2012 as directed by his probation order.

City Police arrested 18 year old Clint Cadreau of 28 Wellington St. E. on the 6th of February for possession of a prohibited weapon, breaching a court order and breaching a probation order. Mr. Cadreau was checked by patrol officers investigating a possible break and enter in the downtown area. A taser type weapon was located on his person which resulted in the prohibited weapon charge. His related court order prohibited Mr. Cadreau from possessing such a device.
All four males will be appearing in Bail Court later this morning.

City Police Officers attended to London Ont. on the 5th and 6th of February to execute a domestic related warrant issued by the Sault Ste Marie Police Service. The warrant was for a 39 year old male who London Police had in their custody. It is alleged the male breached his recognizance by communicating with a female victim who he is on conditions not to do so.
