On the 21st of January, 2015 at approximately 6:09 p.m., officers from Patrol Services and the Crime Suppression Unit attended in the downtown area with regards to a female wanted on an outstanding warrant. Officers arrested 20-year-old Kaitland LAFORGE of Connaught Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario with two counts of breaching her probation order for not abiding by her conditions of that order. She will appear in court on February 23, 2015.
On the 21st of January, 2015 at approximately 6:50 p.m. officers from Patrol Services attended in the downtown area with regards to a female wanted on an outstanding robbery charge. Officers located the accused and arrested 33-year-old Loretta Suzanne CAREY of Carufel Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario for robbery with violence. It is alleged that on the 19th of January, 2015 the accused attended the victim’s residence, pushed the victim to the floor and took a sum of money. The accused and victim were known to each other. The accused will appear in bail court later this morning.
On the 21st of January, 2015 at approximately 8 p.m., officers from Patrol Services attend the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre with regards to an assault complaint. Police investigation revealed that on the 20th of January, 2015 the accused assaulted another inmate by punching the victim in the face. As a result, charged with assault and breach of probation for not keeping the peace and being of good behaviour, is 26-year-old Allan Michael SMYTHE-LANCE. The accused will appear in bail court later this morning.
