Evening news:
On the 23 January 2014 Cody Allan Turdle (age 18) of the 300-block of First Avenue turned himself in to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. He was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear on January 6, 2014. He will be appearing in court on the February 24, 2014 to answer to the charge.
Morning news:
In the morning hours of the 22nd of January 2014 City Police received a 911 call in relation to a domestic dispute. Officers attended at the address and learned that the male partner allegedly assaulted his common law partner by grabbing and pushing her. Further investigation revealed that between October 2013 and January 2014 the accused allegedly assaulted the victim in a similar manner on three other occasions. During one of the assaults the accused threatened to kill the victim. The victim did not required medical treatment for any non life threatening injuries. As a result of the investigation a 31-year-old male has been charged with four counts of assault and one count of threatening to cause death. He will appear in bail court this morning.
On January 22, 2014 at 5:20 p.m., Daniel Dodds, age 18 of Wilding Ave. was arrested and charged with Theft under $5,000 following a shoplifting incident at Sears at 293 Bay St. He will appear in court on February 24.
In another shoplifting incident, Joseph Fabaino, age 20 of Walnut St. was arrested and charged with Theft under $5,000 following a shoplifting complaint from TSC at 707 Great Northern Rd. He will also appear in court on February 24.
