On the 30 January 2014 an alleged spat between two brothers resulted in one getting a bottle smashed across his cheek. A serious cut sent the injured man to hospital for stitches. Charged with assault causing bodily harm is James Julien Boucher (age 24) of 389 Montague St in Sudbury. He will be appearing in bail court on 30 January 2014 at 10 AM.

On the 30 January 2014 Police were called to a local group home where it was reported a resident came home intoxicated. The youth was on conditions not to consume alcohol. He is charged with breach of an undertaking and will be appearing in bail court on 30 January at 10 AM.

On the 30 January 2014 City Police were called to a disturbance in the 100 block of Wellington St West. On arrival a male was found to have an outstanding warrant for breach of probation. He was arrested and will be appearing in bail court on the 30 January 2014 at 10:00 AM. Charged is Jeffrey Leclair (age 21) of 652 MacDonald Ave.

City Police Detectives concluded a case where it is alleged a male victim was struck about the head with a handgun. The incident is alleged to have occurred on the 16 April 2013 at a local eating establishment. Charged with assault with a weapon is Alexander Mckenna (age 35). He will be appearing in bail court on the 31 January 2014 at 10:00 AM.

On the 29 January 2014 a man is alleged to have gone over to his ex spouses’ residence under the influence of alcohol. He was on two separate domestic related probation orders not to consume or have had alcohol while in her company. He was charged with breach of a probation order and will be appearing in bail court on 31 January 2014 at 10 AM.

On the 30 January 2014 a female turned herself into the City Police. She was wanted on an outstanding domestic related warrant for threatening death. She was arrested and will be appearing in bail court on 31 January 2014 at 10 AM.

A resident in the 100 block of Salisbury Avenue reported that between 3:45 and 8:45 p.m. on the 29th of January unknown persons broke into their residence and stole some cash, medication and jewelry. 

38-year-old Michael Roy of Old Goulais Bay Road was arrested on a charge of threatening. It is alleged that on the 29th of January the accused threatened an individual known to him during a dispute. The accused will be appearing in court on March 3rd.

A 36-year-old female was arrested for breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused breached a condition to abstain from communicating with or going to the residence of her ex partner. She will be appearing in court on February 26.

On January 29 at approximately 10 p.m., officers observed a male walking out of Metro at 275 Second Line west carrying a shopping basket full of groceries, none of them in bags. Upon approaching the male it was found that he could not produce a receipt for the groceries. The total value of the groceries was $266.52. 45-year-old David Moore of Korah Road was charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and will be appearing in court on March 3.

28-year-old Daniel Matthews of Panoramic Drive will be appearing in bail court this morning. It is alleged that on the 30th of January the accused was not in his residence at 12:15 a.m. He was located at a residence in the west end of the city and was found to have been consuming alcohol. At the time the accused was on a bail release document with conditions that he be in his residence between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. and to abstain from alcohol. He is charged with two counts of breach of recognizance.
