The following are news releases from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service:
On July 18, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 48-year-old male in relation to a domestic violence investigation.
It is alleged that on July 17, the accused engaged in a verbal argument with his girlfriend. During the argument, the accused punched the victim in the face and then left the area.
The accused was located by officers a short distance away and was taken into custody. He has been charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation.
He was held for bail court.

On July 18, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 23-year-old male in relation to a domestic violence investigation.
On July 17 the accused engaged in a verbal argument with his girlfriend. The argument escalated and it is alleged that the accused grabbed the victim by the hair and threw her to the ground 2 times.
It was further alleged that the accused had sexually assaulted the victim earlier that morning.
The accused left the area and was located a short distance away by police. When the accused was being placed in custody he threatened to stab each of the officers.
The accused has been charged with one count of assault, one count of sexual assault, one count of uttering threats and one count of breach of probation.
He was held for bail court.

On July 18, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 20 year old female in relation to a domestic violence investigation.
On July 18, the accused engaged in a verbal argument with her boyfriend. The argument escalated and it is alleged that the accused pushed the victim, kicked him and scratched his face.
Police attended and the accused was taken into custody.
She has been charged with one count of assault and will appear in court on August 23, 2017.
