On June 4, 2015, a male turned himself in at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service regarding an outstanding bench warrant. It is alleged that the accused failed to attend court on a specified day for a charge of threatening to damage property.

On June 4, 2015, a male turned himself in at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service regarding an outstanding bench warrant. It is alleged that the accused failed to attend court on a specified day for a charge of threatening to damage property. The warrant was executed and the accused Brent Mark Leclair, age 49 of Hudson Street, is scheduled to appear in court on July 13, 2015 at 9 a.m.

On June 4, 2015 at approximately 12 p.m. City Police were called to a local hardware store regarding a possible impaired driver. The accused Warren Smith, age 47, was checked by police. It is alleged that the accused was impaired by alcohol and was arrested for having care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. Further tests revealed the accused had consumed over the legal limit and was also charged with that. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on July 13, 2015 at 9 a.m.

On June 3, 2015, at approximately 10:25 p.m., officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 30-year-old Mark STRAIN of Raymond Street and charged him with two counts of breach of released documents as well as two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused breached his recognizance by not residing with his surety and being outside of his residence between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The accused will appear bail court this morning.

On June 3, 2015 at approximately 3 p.m., officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 46-year-old Stephen KERR of Meadow Park Crescent an outstanding warrants. The accused was wanted for unlawfully being at large, mischief and breach of probation. The accused will appear bail court this morning.

On June 4, 2015 just after midnight, city police received a 911 call of a male with a weapon in the central area of the city. Officers from Patrol Services and the Emergency Services Unit responded to the call. It is alleged that a 42-year old male threatened an adult male and female known to him who were in the residence with the accused. The male and female fled the residence and called police. The male was taken into custody and charged with one count of possession of weapons for the purpose dangerous, one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and one count of pointing a firearm. The male will appear in bail court this morning. The name of the male is not being released at this time as it is a domestic related matter.

Yesterday afternoon officers from Investigation Services arrested a 47-year-old male and charged him with two counts of sexual interference and one count of sexual exploitation. It is alleged that between 2011 and 2013 the accused did touch a young female known to him for a sexual purpose. The name of the accused is not being released as it would identify the victim. The accused will appear in bail court this morning.

Shortly after midnight on June 4, city police received a 911 call regarding a domestic dispute. It is alleged that a 23-year-old female assaulted her common law spouse by pouring a beer over his head. The female also smashed a screen at the residence and punched the victim in the face. When taken into custody the female resisted arrest and struggled with the officers. The female has been charged with two counts of assault, one count of mischief under and one count of resist police.  She will appear in bail court this morning.
