On the evening of March 11, 2015 patrol officers responded to a report of a male and female arguing in the west end of the city. Prior to police arrival, the male party had left the residence driving a motor vehicle.

On the evening of March 11, 2015 patrol officers responded to a report of a male and female arguing in the west end of the city.  Prior to police arrival, the male party had left the residence driving a motor vehicle. As part of the investigation, officers located and stopped the vehicle in the north end of the city. Officers found the male driver to be under the influence of alcohol. The male driver failed a roadside screening test and was subsequently arrested and charged with operating his motor vehicle while having more than 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood (over .80). He will be appearing in court April 13, 2015.

On the evening of March 11, 2015 patrol officers responded to a domestic incident in the central part of the city. Investigation revealed a female had been assaulted by her boyfriend who was no longer at the residence. At the time of the incident the male was on 2 separate probation orders with conditions associated to the female victim. As a result of the investigation a 45-year-old male was later located and arrested by officers. The male was charged with assault and breaching the conditions of his probation. He will be appearing in bail court March 12, 2015.    

On the evening of March 11, 2015 officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service’s Drug Enforcement Unit were conducting an investigation in the west end of the city. Officers observed a male openly smoking an opiate inside a parked vehicle. As a result of the investigation 24-year-old Chris BRUNI of Woodhurst Drive was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. He will be appearing in court April 13, 2015

On March 11, 2015 officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service’s Drug Enforcement unit were conducting an investigation in the east end of the city. The investigation led officers to check a vehicle at 2000 hrs. The driver was observed by officers actively smoking an opiate through a glass pipe. The driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old David LIEDKE of Hearst Street was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. He will be appearing in court April 13, 2015.
