Breach, Mischief & Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Yesterday morning, at approx. 8:00 am the Sault Ste Marie Police Service was called to a residence on Bush St. regarding an unwanted person. Upon arrival of the police it was learned that the unwanted guest was wanted by the City Police on three warrants. The male, Sanford Roy, age 37, of no fixed abode, was arrested on warrants for breach of probation - two counts, mischief and possession of property obtained by crime. He will be appearing in bail court this morning.
Male Charged in Break & Enter
Yesterday morning at approx.10:30 Am Sault Ste Marie Police arrested a male for break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that the accused broke into a downtown residence and stole a quantity of DVDs while in the residence. Charged is Matthew Thibodeau, age 20, of no fixed abode. He will be appearing in bail court this morning.
Charged for Stealing Scratch Tickets
Last evening at approx.5:30 Pm City Police arrested a 20-year-old female and charged her with theft under
$ 5,000.00. It is alleged that on March 6th the accused, Philisha Sutherland, of 4782 Second Line W. stole approx $ 220.00 worth of scratch and win tickets from her employer. At the time of this offence the accused was working at an east end gas station and scratched the tickets and then failed to pay for them. The accused will be appearing in court on April 16th.
The Sault Ste Marie Police received one report of a break and enter yesterday.
The incident occurred in the 600 block of Lennox Ave. It is unknown at this time what was taken.
Sault Ste Marie Police received four reports of mischief yesterday.
Damage was done to the rear of a building in the 600 block of Queen St.E.
A window was smashed at a residence in the 600 block of Albert St.W.
Vandals caused damage to Biff’s Buff and Shine, located on Conmee Ave. by spray painting the building.
A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Market St. had three tires slashed.
City Police also received one report of theft yesterday.
A car parked in the 100 block of Terry Fox Pl. was entered and a pair of shoes was stolen.
