On March 5, 2015 Sault Ste. Marie Police officers arrested a 26 year old male who was wanted on a domestic warrant for threatening and breach of probation.

On March 5, 2015 Sault Ste. Marie Police officers arrested a 26 year old male who was wanted on a domestic warrant for threatening and breach of probation. It is alleged that on February 19, 2015 the accused threatened to burn a vehicle belonging to his girlfriend. At the time the accused was on probation to keep the peace and be good. He will appear in bail court March 6.

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service responded to a report of a robbery that occurred at about 1:15 a.m. on March 5, 2015 in the area of the Highway Variety on Trunk Road. The victim reported that he was struck from behind, knocked to the ground and robbed of some personal belongings. The males then fled north across Trunk Road towards the Batchewana/Rankin First Nation. K9 assisted in attempting to locate the suspects but was un-successful. The suspects are described as one wearing blue jeans and a dark jacket, and the second male wearing jeans and a tan jacket. The victim received non-life threatening injuries that required no medical attention.
