A break-in was reported to City Police early this morning from a business in the 800 block of McNabb Street. It was determined that sometime overnight, thieves gained entry through a back door and made off with computers, jewelry and cash.

40-year-old Crystal Harvey was arrested by city police this afternoon for shoplifting. It is alleged she left the downtown Walmart without paying for a variety of groceries. She will be appearing in Provincial Court on June 16.

A 16-year-old male was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and charged with robbery in regards to an incident from May 3 of this year. It is alleged that the young person took an undisclosed amount of cash from an elderly woman. The youth will appear in court on June 17.

35-year-old Cindy Morissette of Albion Street was arrested at the Great Northern Road Walmart after she allegedly stole $458 worth of merchandise. At the time of the alleged offence the accused was on probation order which she breached. Morissette is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, June 16.

63-year-old Melody Morden of Dacey Road was arrested and charged with breaching her undertaking. Morden had been released in November of 2013 with harassing a local family. It is alleged that Morden recently continued to harass 2 members of that same family. Ms. Morden will appear in bail court this morning.

A 44-year-old woman was arrested after she was involved in a domestic dispute on Wednesday evening at approximately 9 p.m. The accused is alleged to have assaulted the victim by punching the victim in the face. The accused was also charged with mischief after she caused damage to the complainants apartment. The accused will appear in bail court this morning.
