Male Charged with Mischief

At approx. 4:20 AM on Wednesday may 4th City Police were called to an address in the 100 block of Allard St. in regards to a mischief complaint. Upon arrival at the residence the officers located a male person that it is alleged kicked in the front door to the premises. Charged with Mischief Under $ 5,000.00 is 25-year-old Serge Lafond of 352 B Dacey Rd. Apt. 304. The accused will be appearing in court on Monday June 13th at 9:00 AM.

Child Hit By Car

Yesterday evening City Police attended at the intersection of Albert St.W. and Huron St. in regards to a motor vehicle - pedestrian collision. Upon arrival police were informed that a 4-year-old boy, ran into the path of a vehicle traveling north on Huron St. The young boy crossed against the red light. Victim was attended to by ambulance at the scene and released to parents. No charges were laid.

Impaired Driving Charges Laid

At approx. 10:10 PM last night City Police were informed of a possible Impaired Driver on Second Line near Peoples Rd. Upon arrival in the area of the suspected Impaired Driver officers observed the suspected vehicle weaving on the road as it traveled in a westerly direction. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and the driver was spoken to. At this time the officers noticed that the accused person was under the influence of alcohol. Charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80 mgs is 58-year-old Robert Powley of 69 Hare Ave. He will be appearing in court on Monday June 6th at 900 AM.
