On November 5, 2015 City Police arrested two adults [suspected of] shoplifting from a local department store. Further investigation revealed that there were also dated charges outstanding for similar charges.

On November 5, 2015 City Police arrested two adults [suspected of] shoplifting from a local department store.  Further investigation revealed that there were also dated charges outstanding for similar charges. Police arrested Cindy Marie Morissette, age 36, for three counts of theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation x3.  Police also charged Charles Carricato, age 40, with theft under $5,000 x2, possession of property obtained by crime, and breach of probation.  Both accused are scheduled to appear in court on December 14, 2015 at 9 a.m.

A 27-year-old female was arrested by city police officers last evening at WalMart in the Station Mall. It is alleged she left the store with unpaid merchandise but was apprehended by store security who then turned her over to police. A further check revealed she was wanted on a Probation and Parole warrant as well as being on conditions to notify any address change which she had failed to do. As a result, she was charged with theft under $5,000 and 3 counts of breaching her probation conditions. She will be in Bail Court  on November 12.

Sometime between November 10 at 5 p.m. and November 11 at 5:30 p.m. a residence on Amherst Street was broken into. A British hunting rifle, a Mossberg shotgun, ammunition and a PS4 system with 20 games was taken.

On November 12 shortly after 3 a.m., the Elks Hall on Bay Street was broken into. It is believed the thieves were scared off, but they did manage to steal two bottles of alcohol before they fled the scene.
