On the 12th of November, 2014 at approximately 6:55 p.m. Patrol Services attended a downtown residence and located a female wanted on an outstanding probation and parole warrant. Arrested was Sabrina Mae CLOUTIER, 36 years old of Elmwood Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie, for three counts of breaching her probation order. The accused will appear in court on the 15th of December 2014.

On the 12th of November, 2014 officers with the Crime Suppression, Emergency Services and the Canine Unit executed a search warrant on a residence in the downtown area of the city. Located during the search of the residence was a sawed off single shot shotgun. A 17-year-old male youth was charged with numerous firearm offences including: Careless storage of a firearm, weapon and ammunition, unauthorized possession of a weapon, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of a prohibited firearm and possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon obtained by crime. Further investigation into the firearm seized revealed the shotgun was stolen from a break and enter from a residence in the 900 block of North Street back on the 16th of December, 2012. The accused will appear in Youth Court on the 16th of December, 2014.

On the 12th of November at approximately 10:58 p.m., officers from Patrol Services attended a downtown residence with regards to a domestic dispute. As a result of the investigation police charged a 36-year-old male with two counts of assault. It is alleged the accused assaulted his common law spouse on two occasions. The first incident occurred on the 31st of October, 2014 the accused pulled the victims hair and threw her against a dresser causing the victim to hit her head. The second incident occurred on the 12th of November, 2014; the accused pushed the victim against the living room wall, punched her in the face, pushed her down onto the floor and kicked her. The accused will appear in Bail Court later this morning.
