On October 8, City Police Detectives attended to the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre and charged a 23-year-old inmate there with domestic related offences.

On October 8, City Police Detectives attended to the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre and charged a 23-year-old inmate there with domestic related offences. It is alleged that he assaulted his girlfriend on September 23 and also broke her Xbox gaming station. It is also alleged he damaged her cell phone on October 6. As a result he was charged with one count of assault and two counts of mischief and will be appearing in Bail Court October 9.

On October 7, 2015 at 7:15 p.m., city police arrested a 21-year-old male on an outstanding domestic arrest warrant. The accused was checked by the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police and was turned over to the Sault Police. It’s alleged that on July 12, 2015 the male assaulted his girlfriend and damaged property belonging to her and her family. At the time of the offence the accused was on a probation order. He was charged with one count of assault, one count of mischief to property under $5,000 and two counts of breach of probation. He is appearing in court on October 8, 2015.
