Male arrested for Child Pornography
Today, officers with the Technological Crime Unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 30 year old Robert Capancioni and charged him with one count of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of making Child Pornography available via the internet.
It is alleged that between November of 2012 and December 31st of 2012 the accused had multiple electronic Child Pornography images in his possession, and made a number of those images available for transfer via the internet.
The accused was arrested this morning and will appear in bail court today.

Assault and threatening
46 year old Ralph Hautanen of 332 Albert St. West is charged with assault and threatening after police were called to his residence at midnight. It is alleged he assaulted a female known to him by punching her in the face and threatening to slit her throat with a knife.
