The following will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) A 49 year-old male was arrested at a downtown residence just before 7 pm last night and charged with three counts of assault, one count of threaten death or bodily harm and one charge of being unlawfully in a dwelling house. It is alleged that on this date the accused entered his ex-girlfriend’s west-end residence, threatened her and grabbed her by the throat and attempted to choke her. It is further alleged that the accused assaulted another female by grabbing her around the throat area. The accused also assaulted the ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend by punching him several times in the head. The victims received injuries that did not require medical attention.

2) A 55 year-old male was arrested yesterday afternoon just after 1 pm at his west-end residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 20th of April the accused grabbed his common-law wife around the throat during an argument.

3) A 16 year-old male was arrested yesterday around 6:30 pm at a central area residence and charged with break, enter and commit, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. A 12 year-old brother was also arrested yesterday for his involvement in this break and enter. He is charged with one count of break, enter and commit and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that the two were together at the time of the break and enter.
It is alleged that on the 23rd of April the accused broke into a residence on Taskar Drive between 11:15 am and 2:30 pm and stole several items from the home. At the time of the incident the accused was on a probation order with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is to appear in court on the 29th of May.


Break & Enter

A break and enter was also reported to a residence on Bitonti Crescent. The break in occurred on the 23rd of April between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm. Some jewellery was reported stolen.

Two mischief incidents were reported yesterday:

Yesterday afternoon National Car Rental at 308 Great Northern Road reported that five vehicles in their lot were damaged. It appears that the vehicles were scratched, possibly keyed. It is not known when the damage occurred.
Just after 9 pm last evening a window at the Northland CO-OP building on Northland Road was broken when a rock was thrown at. A resident reported several youths were in the parking lot at the time.
