On August 5, 2014 at approximately 9:00 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on Wallace Terr. The driver of the vehicle was found to be prohibited driver for an impaired driving conviction. 38 year old Jason McCoy of 530 Douglas St.
On August 5, 2014 at approximately 9:00 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on Wallace Terr. The driver of the vehicle was found to be prohibited driver for an impaired driving conviction. 38 year old Jason McCoy of 530 Douglas St. was subsequently charged. He will be appearing in court on September 8 2014.
 
On August 5 2014 the city police were called to Wal-mart  on Great Northern Rd for a theft complaint. Investigation revealed that two persons were observed by store security taking a home surveillance system from the electronic department and then leaving the store without paying. Charged with theft under $5000 is a 20 year old male Jody Burns of 519 Boundary Rd and a 21 year old female Taylor Dow of 33 Ferguson Av. Dow was also on probation at the time and was charged with the breach as well. Both accused persons will be appearing in court on September 8 2014.

On August 1, shortly after 8 p.m., city police attended at the intersection of Trunk Road and South Market Street for a motor vehicle collision. It is alleged that a car that was east bound on Trunk Road failed to stop for the red light at South Market and then drove over the median striking a traffic control post before coming to a stop. Investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. As a result 39-year-old Caterina Assunta of A Line, Richards Landing was charged with one count of consume over the legal limit. She will appear in court on September 8.

On August 2 city police attended in the west end for a domestic dispute. It is alleged that a 32-year-old male smashed his ex-girlfriends I-phone 5 and broke it. It is further alleged that the accused then attended at her residence and forced his way in. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation. The male has been charged with one count of Mischief Under $5,000, one count of Forcible Entry and one count of Breach of Probation. The accused will appear in bail court this morning.

On August 2 just after 1 a.m., city police received a 911 call of a male rattling doors and windows at a residence in the 600 block of Wellington Street West. Officers attended in the area and located the male. 23-year-old Kingsley Abitong of Wellington Street West was charged with one count of Trespass by Night and will appear in court on August 25.

On the 2nd of August a residence in the 1000 block of Base Line was entered. The residence was ransacked and jewellery was taken. The break in occurred between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

On the 3rd of August a homeowner in the 100 block of Wellington Street West reported an attempt break and enter that occurred overnight.

On the 4th of August a residence in the 1300 block of Third Line West was broken into. The break in occurred between the 1st and 4th of August. It is unknown at this time what was taken.

On August 4, 2014 at approximately 8:15 p.m., city police responded to a domestic dispute near the city bus terminal on Queen Street East. Investigation revealed that an accused female, age 23, allegedly kicked and punched her ex-boyfriend. The accused was arrested a short time later and will appear in bail court on August 5, 2014 at 10 a.m.
 
On August 4, 2014 at approximately 9:38 p.m., city police responded to a domestic matter in the 200 block of Wellington Street East. Investigation revealed that a male accused, age 26, was at a residence that he was not supposed to be at. The accused was put on a recognizance (peace bond) by the courts with a condition that he not to be there and not to communicate with the victim. The accused was arrested for breach of recognizance X 2 and will appear in bail court on August 5, 2014 at 10 a.m.
