A 37 year old male was arrested and will be appearing in bail court tomorrow. It is alleged that in February and March of 2011 he assaulted his girlfriend twice, once by throwing a set of keys at her and once by slapping her in the face with a pair of pants. Additionally it is alleged that in April of 2011 the accused sexually assaulted her by refusing to cease sexual activity when she told him to stop. It is also alleged that in March of 2011 the accused encouraged the victim to commit suicide which led to her causing injuries to herself that were non life threatening. He is charged with two counts of assault, one count of sexual assault and one count of counseling suicide.

A 23 year old male was arrested and will be appearing in court on March 25th. It is alleged that the accused refused to turn his child over to another individual for visitation despite a valid court order to do so and after warnings by police that failing to turn the child over would be a violation of that order.

A storage trailer was reported broken into in the 400 block of Trunk Road. Three love seats and 30 zero gravity chairs were reported stolen.

A business compound was broken into in the 100 Block of Industrial Court. Two snow blowers, shovels and power tools were stolen.

A resident in the 400 block of Douglas Street reported that tires on her car were slashed overnight.

There were eight motor vehicle collisions reported between 5:00 am and 4:30 pm.

On February 18th, Police Officers attended a home in the east end of the city regarding an assault complaint. Officers learned the accused, a sixteen year old female, had assaulted an adult female in the residence. The victim received minor injuries in the incident. The young person was arrested and charged with Assault and will appear in bail court on Feb. 19th.

On February 18th Patrol Officers attended a home on St. George’s Ave and arrested a 32 year old male on several domestic related charges. It is alleged that in the fall of 2012 the accused assaulted his ex-common in law spouse. Then in January of 2013 the accused allegedly took the victims credit card and used it without her permission. The accused has been charged with Assault, Stealing a Credit Card and Using a Stolen Credit Card. He will appear in bail court on Feb. 19th.
