On January 12 at approximately 7 p.m. patrol officers attended to the intersection of Bruce and Wellington Street East regarding a vehicle that was driven up onto the snowbank.

On January 12 at approximately 7 p.m. patrol officers attended to the intersection of Bruce and Wellington Street East regarding a vehicle that was driven up onto the snowbank. Upon further investigation, officers determined that 58-year-old Gerald Williamson of Wallace Terrace had been operating the vehicle while his ability to do so was impaired. As a result Mr. Williamson was charged with impaired driving. Once at the Police Station the accused refused to provide a sample of his breath into an approved device and was subsequently charged with that offence as well. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on February 23.
