Arrests/Charged Persons: On the January 21, 2013 the accused Tricia Robinson age 25 of 646 Queen Street West, unit #2, while incarcerated at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center, threatened to kill a corrections officer.

On the January 21, 2013 the accused Tricia Robinson age 25 of 646 Queen Street West, unit #2, while incarcerated at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center, threatened to kill a corrections officer.  On January 22, 2013 at approximately 10:50 am the accused was arrested for threatening and will appear in bail court January 23, 2013 at 10:00 am.

On January 15, 2013 at approximately 5:30 pm it is alleged that the accused age 21, threw a measuring tape and two bottles of cream at her father striking him with all three items. At the time of this incident the accused was also on probation. On January 22, 2013 officer attended the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center and arrested the accused for assault with a weapon X 2 and breach of probation.  The accused will appear in bail court January 23, 2015 at 10:00am.

Break and Enter:

On January 22, 2013 in the early morning hours a vehicle was entered in the area of Centre Street and a small amount of change and identification was taken

Power and Phone Lines Struck by Unknown Vehicle

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with an ongoing investigation into a collision involving a commercial motor vehicle striking power and phone lines between Pine Street and Black Road, in the area of the Humane Society on Second Line East.  At approximately 4:30am, lines in use by both PUC and Bell Canada were struck by an unknown commercial motor vehicle.   The collision caused damage to the cables and a power outage in the area, as well a road closure for the repairs to take place. 

Anyone who may have information about this collision is asked to call Cst. Lindsay of Traffic Services at 705-949-6300 ext. 382.

A 17 year old male was arrested by City Police late yesterday afternoon after he damaged a wall in his parents’ home. He also was not following the rules of the house. As a result he was charged with breaching his undertaking and mischief.  The youth will appear in Bail Court later this morning.

A 15 year old male was charged last night with breaching his probation by not abiding by a curfew. He was taken to his residence at that time. A short time later Police received a call that the same youth had left the residence again. He was subsequently located and arrested for breaching his probation again for not abiding by the curfew and also by not keeping the peace and being of good behaviour. He will be appearing in Bail Court later today as well.

City Police received a complaint of a female going door to door in the downtown area requesting financial assistance for her and her baby. It was determined to be a false claim and if any persons encounter a similar request they should contact Police.
