Male arrested for impaired driving
On Jan. 28, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 68 year old Stephen Towe of Korah Road for impaired driving.
It is alleged that just before 1:30 p.m. the accused was operating his motor vehicle Northbound on Great Northern Road near Second Line. The accused was involved in a minor motor vehicle collision with another vehicle and police were contacted.
Officers arrived a short time later and found that the accused’s ability to operate the motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. He was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level that was over the legal limit. He will appear in court on Mar. 6, 2017.
