On the 6th of January 2015 at approximately 9:30hrs Patrol Services arrested a 21yr old female wanted on an outstanding warrant from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. Charged for failing to attend court between the 28th of January 2013 and the 22nd of December 2014 is Tara Lynn SWANSON of Wellington Street East SSM, ON. She will appear in Bail Court later today.
On January 5 police observed a female in the parking lot of 266 Korah Road that was wanted for failing to appear court on theft charges. When arrested by the officers the accused resisted arrest and upon search of the accused a morphine pill was located. 31-year-old Julie Kelly of Albert Street East was additionally charged with resist arrest, possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation. She will appear in bail court today.
City police officers were called to a domestic dispute to an address in the downtown area. Investigation revealed that during an argument the accused, a 57-year-old female, grabbed a knife and threatened to kill the male boyfriend. The accused was also on probation with the condition of not to molest, harass or annoy the male. She was charged with assault with a weapon, threatening death and breach of probation. She will appear in bail court this morning.
