A 22-year-old female was arrested by city police early this morning driving a vehicle which had been reported stolen earlier. She was charged with theft and possession of the vehicle as well as being over the legal limit due to her consuming alcohol. There were 5 males in the vehicle with her at the time of the stop. All 5 were charged with possession of stolen property and cannot be named due to them all being under 18 years old. The female will be appearing in Provincial Court on August 11 and the 5 youths will be appearing in Young Offender Court on August 5.

On June 30 at 10 p.m. patrol officers arrested and charged a 31-year-old female with assault following a domestic incident. It is alleged that the female assaulted her partner on June 29 following a domestic dispute. The victim received minor injuries in the assault. The accused will appear in court July 30.
