Evening Report: Arrests/Charged Persons: 23 year old Leslie James Nicholson of 579 Northland Road has been charged following a hit and run motor vehicle collision on Peoples Road at 1000 a.m. today.

23 year old Leslie James Nicholson of 579 Northland Road has been charged following a hit and run motor vehicle collision on Peoples Road at 1000 a.m. today.  The accused was operating a silver Hyundai and was travelling northbound on Peoples Road when he struck a second vehicle from behind causing extensive damage to both cars (no injuries).  He fled the scene in his vehicle and with assistance from members of the public and staff from the City Board of Works, police were able to locate the accused on Fourth Line and Great Northern Road.  He has been charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident, careless driving and breach of probation and will appear in court on 20 August 2012.

Mischief:
a trailer was spray painted on Orion St.
a mailbox was damaged on Landslide Road
a vehicle was damaged on Dauphin Drive
a car stereo , 2 sub woofers, an Alpine amp and Fusion amp were stolen from a vehicle on Wilson Street
seven vehicles were damaged in the lot at Highland Ford

Morning Report

Arrests/Charged Persons:

On July 16, 2012, it is alleged that the accused, age 30, attended at the residence of the victim and assaulted the victim by punching and slapping the victim in the face. The accused would not let the victim leave the residence. The accused was on probation and on an undertaking at the time, both with conditions not allowing any contact with the victim.  The accused was later arrested by police after attempting to run from police.  The accused is charged with assault, unlawful confinement, breach of probation X 4, breach of an undertaking X 3 and resisting arrest.  The accused will appear in bail court July 17, 2012 at 10:00am.
