Afternoon news:
On July 9th, 2013 shortly before 11:00 am Troy Vanderloo, age 32 of 2030 Queen St. East attended at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services Building to deal with a Fraud Over $ 5,000.00 charge. Officers had learned that in the fall of 2012 and into the spring of 2013 the male had defrauded the Hiway Variety Store at 883 Trunk Rd. Subsequently Detectives arrested and charged Vanderloo with Fraud over $ 5,000.00. He will appear in court on August 12th.
On July 9th at 2:01 pm Patrol Officers observed a female in the downtown core who had been drinking. A records check revealed the female was wanted on arrest warrants for failing to attend court and fingerprinting. Officers also learned the female was on release conditions not to consume alcohol. The female, Ashley Paul, age 25 of 695 Shafer St. was arrested and charged with Failing to Attend Court, Failing to Attend Fingerprinting and Breaching of Undertaking. She will appear in bail court on July 10th.

A series of Break and Enters were reported yesterday.
A residence in the 300 block of John St. was entered sometime yesterday afternoon. Thieves gained entry by forcing open the back door. A small safe and jewelry were stolen.
A residence on Birch St. was also entered sometime yesterday afternoon. Entry was gained by forcing open the back door. Nothing was reported stolen.
A residence in the 200 block of Brown St. was reportedly entered yesterday in the early evening. Thieves made entry through an unlocked back door. Jewelry was reported stolen.
