At approximately 7 a.m. a mother bear and two cubs were seen in the area of Eden Street.

Last evening several vehicles were entered in the following areas:  in the 300 block of Wellington Street East, in the 700 block of McAllen Street, in the 100 block of Leo Avenue, in the 100 block of McGregor Avenue two vehicle were entered and in the 1000 block of Queen Street East.  Items that went missing included a GPS, change, tablets and accessories.

A residence in the 100 block of Reid Street noticed that screens had been removed from two windows on their home sometime in the last couple of days. Entry was not gained. 

A resident in the 500 block of  MacDonald Avenue reported that their home had been entered through the winter months while they were away. Jewellery was taken.  

Soo Home Style Bakery on Wellington Street West reported a break and enter between June 7 and yesterday afternoon. It is unknown if anything was taken.

On June 9 at approximately 12:25 p.m., officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Drug Unit arrested 25-year-old Joshua Leclair of Heidi Crescent in Aweres Township for 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and 2 counts of breaching a probation order. Mr. Leclair was arrested at the Satellite Motel, where he had been staying, when one of his conditions was to reside at his residence. He was also found to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana. He will be appearing in bail court this morning.

A 29-year-old woman was arrested for a domestic related assault last night. It is alleged that her and her common-law boyfriend were arguing when she kicked him in the leg. She will be appearing in Provincial Court on July 9.

A 20-year-old male was arrested by city police last night on outstanding warrants. He was charged with mischief, assault and breaching conditions of his probation of not keeping the peace. These were domestic related incidents from May 22. He will be appearing in bail court later this morning.
