STABBING SENDS MAN TO HOSPITAL City police are investigating a stabbing that occurred last Friday at 11:00 p.m. The victim was assaulted by several males between the rail yard and Arthur's Funeral Home.

City police are investigating a stabbing that occurred last Friday at 11:00 p.m. The victim was assaulted by several males between the rail yard and Arthur's Funeral Home. During the assault, the victim received several wounds to his back. The accused then returned to his hotel room and police were notified at 6:00 a.m. on June 1. The victim, a 49-year-old Toronto resident was taken to hospital for treatment and is in satisfactory condition. The investigation is continuing.

SHE HAD A TOY GUN
Sault Ste. Marie police responded to a complaint of a suspicious person in a downtown mall yesterday. The complaint stated that a female was walking around wearing a gun in a holster. The person was located and, when searched, a replica handgun was found in her possession. Police also found a small amount of marijuana. Kari George, age 20, of Second Avenue has been charged with one count of possession of a narcotic and will appear in court on June 24.
